Community Rules
Effective October 25, 2026 · The Internet Is the JuryYappeal is for people who want to argue about harmless absurdities, entertainment, sports, public issues and how to solve real-world problems. Debate the idea. Don't target the person.
Bring the chaos, keep it fair
- Make jokes, file fictional cases, cast a vote and argue your position without personal attacks.
- Discuss celebrities, politicians, businesses and public events through opinions, satire and sourced, clearly attributed factual claims. Public figures can be discussed; nobody may be threatened, stalked or impersonated.
- Label jokes, parody, fictional courtroom charges and speculation appropriately. Do not present a serious, unverified allegation of illegal or abusive behavior as established fact.
- Use only text, images or other material you have permission to post. A fan debate does not imply affiliation with a studio, franchise or athlete.
- Votes and community verdicts are informal Yappeal participation, not official elections, scientifically representative surveys or legal judgments.
Not allowed
- Threats, targeted harassment, hate, humiliation campaigns, bullying or encouragement of violence.
- Doxxing, personal addresses, private contact information, intimate imagery without consent or identifying private individuals for ridicule.
- Impersonation, forged endorsements, fraud, spam, coordinated inauthentic voting, bots, stolen accounts or attempts to evade safety controls.
- Defamatory factual accusations, deceptive edited content presented as real, unlawful content or instructions that enable harm.
- Sexual exploitation of minors, extremist recruitment or other material prohibited by applicable law.

Decisions are made based on conduct and evidence, not on whether moderators agree with a political view. Moderators cannot rewrite legitimate ballots to obtain a preferred verdict.
