Privacy Policy
Effective October 25, 2026 · Grace Holdings LLCYappeal is operated by Grace Holdings LLC. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@yappeal.com. Yappeal is a public discussion platform: assume your published posts and comments can be seen, copied or shared by anyone.
Information we handle
- Account: Google sign-in subject identifier, a pseudonymous handle, display name, account status and session records. We use Google's identity information to verify sign-in, but do not publicly display your Google email by default.
- Participation: cases, problem discussions, fan battles, options and proposed solutions, ballots, comments, replies, reactions, follows and blocks, with related timestamps.
- Trust and security: reports, moderation actions, hashed session tokens and hashed rate-limiting identifiers. Cloudflare may process routine request metadata and security logs as our hosting provider.
How information is used
We use these records to provide accounts, publish discussions, compute accurate voting outcomes, show profiles and public engagement, enable moderation, reduce spam and abuse, support account deletion, investigate security incidents and maintain the service. Yappeal does not currently operate paid sponsor targeting or sell individual ballot choices to advertisers.
Who can see what
Your public handle, display name, published discussions, comments, reactions and some participation counts can be visible publicly. The service may show aggregate voting totals, but does not intentionally publish identifiable individual ballots on profiles. Private reports and moderator tools are restricted to authorized staff. Sharing a discussion through another site subjects shared content to that site's policies.
Cookies, infrastructure and storage
Sign-in uses a secure HTTP-only session cookie for up to 30 days. Protected staging has a separate preview cookie. Cloudflare Workers and D1 process and store the application data; Google supplies authentication. We use essential cookies for sign-in and security, not a third-party advertising tracker in the initial release.
Deletion and retention
Signed-in members may deactivate an account through Profile. Sessions are revoked, published content is hidden and the sign-in identity is anonymized. Open ballots are removed; already-closed anonymous ballots can remain so previous verdicts stay accurate. Restricted historical records or reports may remain when needed for safety, abuse prevention, disputes or legal obligations. Not every retained record has a fixed automatic deletion schedule yet; contact support to ask about specific records and applicable rights. Other users' saved or shared copies may remain outside Yappeal's control.
Your choices and requests
You may stop participating, delete your account, report content, block members or ask support to review privacy concerns. Requests to access, correct or delete applicable personal information can be made at support@yappeal.com. We assess those requests under applicable law.
Adults only
Account registration is intended for people 18 and older. Google sign-in does not verify age. If you believe someone under 18 is using an account, notify support.
Updates
We may update this notice as features and practices change, including if sponsored experiences are introduced. Any new data uses should be disclosed before they go live.
